This will be the thirteenth edition of the march, which seeks the visibility of the rights of the LGBTTTQI+ community

MAZATLAN. – “Free and visible for our rights”, that is the motto that the 13th edition of the Gay Pride and Sexual Diversity March will carry, which will paint the Mazatlán Malecón in colors to continue making visible the rights they have as citizens.

And it is that June has become the month of pride, not only in Mazatlán but in the world, where hundreds of people take to the streets, waving multicolored flags to ask for equal rights and for a society that accepts that love it comes in all its forms.

When is? The march in the “Pearl of the Pacific” will be on Saturday, June 18, starting at Sánchez Taboada and ending at Valentino’s.

It is not yet known who will be the “ambassadors” of the mark of pride.

In Mexico City, it is a monumental march in which singers and actors participate; this will be on June 25, as in Baja California, Baja California Sur, and Sonora.

In Durango and Oaxaca it will be on June 26; while on July 2 it will be held in Chihuahua and San Luis Potosí; on July 23 marches will be held in the state of Zacatecas; on August 13 in the State of Mexico; on August 27, in Morelos and on November 19 in Chapala.

It was in June 1979, the first demonstration identified in our country to make visible the rights of the community. In 1971, in the midst of a social context that demanded political action, the first association in favor of the rights of LGBT+ people was set up in Mexico, which was called the Homosexual Liberation Front of Mexico.
