Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – The head of Public Works, Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez, reported that the remodeling of the Olivera Tent could exceed one million pesos, in addition to the fact that the work could last until Friday, May 13.

Núñez Gutiérrez pointed out that it is about the remodeling of one of the most visited places by tourists and inhabitants of Mazatlan, for which an exhaustive work will be carried out that goes from a complete coating in the pool area, followed by resistant railings and even a fiberglass coating in the slide area, in addition to the placement of pumps that will constantly be draining the water from the natural pool.

“In Carpa Olivera, a regeneration is being carried out almost in its entirety. The floor was in very poor condition, a strong cobblestone is being put on it (…) Right now what is urgently needed is to cover the snail with fiberglass so that it slides better and put two pumps into it; one that enters water and another that leaves to keep the PH of the sea water intact and the PH of 8.0 does not have movement”, said the also engineer.

“More or less we have between 1 million, a million and a half. It will most likely be the other Friday of next week,” she added.

Due to the maintenance that will be carried out, Núñez Gutiérrez recommended that the Olivera pool should have maintenance 3 to 4 times a year, because being so close to the sea is more likely to present more frequent wear. Likewise, he affirmed that he has already established communication with the mayor, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, to designate a permanent guard in the area, in order to keep the natural pool in good condition.
