MAZATLAN._ This Sunday night there was a carom between four vehicles, seven passengers were treated at the scene, but a baby was transferred to a hospital for medical examination.

The mishap occurred at 8:45 p.m., in the lanes from south to north of Mexico International Highway 15, 150 meters before reaching the Colonia Urías crossroads.

The vehicles involved in the crash were a Dodge Attitude, a Chevrolet Traverse pickup, a Beat car, and a Tornado pickup.

Apparently, the mishap originated after the driver of the Traverse truck crashed into the Attitude, which was at the end of the line of cars waiting for the traffic light to change, and the Beat was the most affected, being pressed between the Traverse and the Tornado.

Two Red Cross ambulances and a rescue unit from the Mazatlán Fire Department responded to the initial report of people trapped in the accident.

Neighbors near the accident area helped the dazed passengers and pulled out chairs for two older adults who were traveling in one of the vehicles.

Lifeguards assessed seven people at the scene, but they did not warrant transfer, but a month-old baby was transferred to a hospital for a better medical assessment.

Agents of the National Guard were in charge of the part of the facts and regulated the vehicular flow in the area.
