MAZATLAN. – Before being 100 percent sure that you are free of contagion by Covid-19 or that you are infected, the Ministry of Health will install five care modules along the beaches, where free antigen tests will be carried out.
The person in charge of the Sanitary Jurisdiction 05, Africa Carrasco Valenzuela, mentioned that this is optional, it will not be a filter, but a place of attention for those who feel in doubt or seek to reinforce that they do not bring the virus, before vacationing with peace of mind.
“We are going to have antigen tests, rapid tests for Covid, in the five modules that are going to be installed. Hydration is going to be given, promotion of what is Covid, dengue and the issue of dehydration, heat stroke, whatever can be supported, taking the pressure, ”he declared.
Carrasco Valenzuela pointed out that, in case of emergency situations, they will have the support of paramedics and ambulances, who will direct people to the nearest hospital.
The modules will be the following
-Cerro del Crestón- Faro, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
-Olas Altas- Olivera Tent, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
-Monument to the Fisherman, from 12:00 to 18:00
-Valentino’s, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
-Cerritos, from 12:00 to 18:00
The head of the Sanitary Jurisdiction reported that they will be installed in two stages, the first from this Wednesday 13 to Sunday, April 17, and the second stage from Wednesday 20 to Sunday, April 24, on dates of the Motorcycle Week.
The only module that would be changed that week will be the Mazatlán Lighthouse, which will go to the Plaza de la Moto, in the Convention Center, at the same time and with the same services.
If someone tests positive for Covid-19, what will they do?
Africa Carrasco added that, as in the Carnival season, the person will be sent to a hospital, home or even a hotel or lodging center and will be followed up by telephone to maintain the diagnosis of their behavior.
“In case of having a positive case, we would follow up by phone and refer him, if necessary, if he had any alteration to the general hospital, if they want, if they have a special one, they can go there,” he said. .
