During this weekend there was a good hotel occupancy throughout the state, says Secretary of Tourism.

SAN IGNACIO.- The state of Sinaloa, but especially Mazatlan, managed to experience a great bonanza in the city during this long weekend, which shows that the tourist port continues to grow and is expected to be at its maximum during Holy Week.

The Secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa, María del Rosario Torres Noriega, mentioned that events such as the Mazatlán Fest and the International Motorcycle Week, come to reinforce the destination in every way.

He stated that the city has managed to maintain high occupancy levels in the hotels, the duration of the holidays, and in the case of Easter week, more than quantity, he added, it brings quality due to the economic spill left by motorcyclists.

“It is not only Mazatlán, because there are other beaches in the state that are also popular, such as Topolobampo, Navolato, Guasave and Escuinapa, to name a few,” said Torres Noriega.

The official stressed that religious tourism is added to this, which is concentrated in the community for Holy Week, whose tradition is to remember the passion of Christ.

He added that full hotels are estimated, restaurants at their maximum capacity is what has been perceived during this weekend in different tourist points of Sinaloa.

Finally, he pointed out that this generates a great economic benefit for the cities, as well as in the magical or stately towns that have benefited from the influx of visitors.
