Mazatlan, Sinaloa. -With the arrival of Easter just around the corner, hotel occupancies are already at 50 percent, in addition to a trend of up to 60 percent, reported José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, President of the Association of hotels Three Islands of Mazatlan.
Said vacation period, which begins on April 10 and ends on the 16th of the same month, already has a guaranteed occupancy of 50 percent according to the capacity allowed in the port hotels, with the tendency to exceed 80 percent of reservations.
“For Holy Week right now we are at levels of practically 50 percent, we hope that we are going to have two important weeks for the destination, that in some way this continues the inertia that Mazatlan has,” he said.
“It could be that yes (they estimate that the reservations are full), I say right now based on what we have in trend, we are going to be around 80-82 percent,” he added.
