Perlas del Pacífico call all women in Mazatlan to join the March

“Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The feminist collective Perlas del Pacifico, calls all women for the march for International Women’s Day, on March 8 in Mazatlán.

“At 2:30 p.m., the #8M separatist march will leave the monument to Mazatlan women and end in front of the Aquarium with performances, and feminist slogans chanting”, reported Frida Izaguirre.

There will be three groups, the first of relatives of femicide, and mothers, or relatives of the disappeared.

The second is for women with disabilities.

The third is for women in general, there will be a block of women with batucada, dancing, singing and carrying out different artistic activities.

“All women who wish to join the march are welcome,” said Frida. She added that there is no dress code, although they wear purple for fighting or black for mourning.

Izaguirre reiterated the importance of wearing a mask and keeping a distance to reduce the risk of contagion from Covid-19.
