Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – The occupation in flights in this Carnival is between 80 and 90 percent, practically full flights that generally come from Mexico City, Tijuana, and Monterrey acknowledged the administrator of the Mazatlán International Airport, Rafel Buelna Tenorio, Víctor Vladimir Ramírez of the Angel.

“Especially this last week before the start of Carnival, they were increased and we hope that at the end of February we will have a good occupancy of passengers between 10 and 12 percent more than in 2019, which has been the year with the highest number of passengers. ”, he explained.

Ramírez del Ángel assured that the increase in passengers occurs on domestic flights, highlighting the aforementioned states.

Regarding international flights, the federal official stressed that the passengers arriving at the air terminal come mainly from Dallas, Phoenix, and Los Angeles in the United States and also from Canada.

“The main destinations are Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles and the 5 destinations that we had already mentioned in Canada that have recovered, but mainly the increase is in domestic tourist flights,” he added.

He stressed that both for the arrival and for those who travel, prevention protocols are applied to Covid-19, in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
