During a search operation inside the Aguaruto Penitentiary Center by the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), a large sum of cash, 13 firearms, two drug packages, and fighting roosters were located.
According to the Secretary of Security, Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, what was seized during the search inside the ‘jail’ was one million 250 thousand pesos in cash.
7 rifles, two R-15, and AK-47, as well as a submachine gun, and six handguns, in addition to two packages with marijuana and seven fighting cocks.
The surprise operation was carried out during the early hours of this Friday in modules 6, 7, and 8.
Likewise, Castañeda Camarillo pointed out that the place could have been used as a betting site.
He added that as a result of the latest incidents inside the prison, checks have been scheduled to detect weapons, drugs, cell phones and other objects that are not allowed inside the prison.
