Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – Due to the fourth wave by Covid-19 and by policies of the United States Government, cruise ships continue to arrive at 50 percent and of that percentage, 60 or 70 percent go down to explore the beach destination, calculated the tour operator, Gian Carlo Parolari González.
“Cruises right now due to United States policies, come to 50 percent, even soon they will increase to a maximum. I do not know the percentage, but they are going to increase it, “he said.
He said that so far the average expense that a shipping tourist leaves in the port has remained at 75 dollars per person, about 1,500 Mexican pesos.
Gian Carlo Parolari commented that even though the Omicron variant is highly contagious, so far there is no record of any infected traveler and, if an infected person is detected, they are immediately isolated.
“We also as tour operators have the protocols and all the training to isolate the person, take them to the Health Center or a hospital or return them to the ship if someone with symptoms is detected,” he added.
Parolari González, stated that the arrival of the ships continues normally, they have not increased, but they have not decreased either, the protocols are followed by both the municipality and the State, and by complying with these guidelines, there would be no problem.
