The event will be held from January 19 to 23 in Madrid, where the Chepe Express route and the Magical Towns will be promoted.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The Sinaloa stand in the Mexico pavilion to participate in the International Tourism Fair, to be held in Madrid from January 19 to 23, is now ready.
The Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa supervised the progress of the installation and confirmed that it is ready to attend, as of this Wednesday, business appointments with Spanish wholesale operators.
Sinaloa’s objective will be to promote and market the Chepe Express Route made up of Topolobampo, Los Mochis, El Fuerte and Barrancas del Cobre, linked by the only passenger train in Mexico, and to spread the attractions of the Magic Towns, Stately Towns and the 18 state municipalities.
SECTUR PARTICIPATES IN THE EXCELTUR TOURISM LEADERSHIP FORUM
Prior to Fitur, this Tuesday, the Exceltur 2022 Forum was held, under the title “Rethinking post-Covid-19 tourism: new challenges, new perspectives”, with the aim of rethinking the tourism model worldwide and seeking recovery intelligent sector in the face of the ravages left by the pandemic.
This forum was held by the Alliance for Tourism Excellence, made up of 33 of the most relevant companies in the tourism value chains and subsectors of air, rail, sea and land transport, accommodation, travel agencies and tour operators, among others.
At the meeting, it was said that as of this date, strategies that facilitate continuity and competitive reinforcement of the tourism sector must be prioritized and streamlined, since 2020 – 2021 have been the years hardest hit by the pandemic.
In this regard, the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, María del Rosario Torres Noriega, expressed that this type of forum allows a close knowledge of the situation that prevails worldwide, as well as the devastating capacity of Covid-19 in tourism, but also to know the transformation that has been taking place between the great destinations and the consumers/tourists to be able to move forward.
