Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres foresees a very positive 2022 for the municipality in private investment.

MAZATLÁN.- The Mezcal Designation of Origin that this municipality received last October, has aroused the interest of businessmen who are already raising their hands to open businesses in the port, said Mayor Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres.

He mentioned that to give greater impetus to the designation that the city shares with San Ignacio, Concordia, and Rosario, they are planning the creation of the mezcal corridor in Mazatlán, just as there is a wine route in Baja California, a strategy that will attract mezcal companies and other business ventures.

In the framework of a conference in this city led by the President of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism, José Héctor Tejada Shaar, the Chemist predicted a very positive 2022 for the city in terms of private investment.

«The truth is that Mazatlán is fashionable, everyone wants to come and invest, and we receive them with all the facilities in the world; We want Mazatlán to have more and more investment.

Benitez Torres highlighted that Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, met with businessmen from Mexico City and signed a letter of commitment for a collaboration agreement to promote and sell Mazatlán in tourism.
