The guests came from destinations such as Torreón, Chihuahua, Durango, Jalisco, Mexico City, Monterrey, Tijuana, Mochis, Culiacán, and the United States, which translates into more than 100,000 visitors.

The business lines that receive part of the economic benefit are event rooms, planners, furniture rental, decorators, flower shops, banquets, wait staff, dance floors, musical groups, DJ’s, pastries, productions, audio, lighting, valet parking, light plant, photography, video, pyrotechnics, babysitting services, wine houses, makeup artists, solo musicians, transporters, among others.

In 2019, in December more than 50 weddings were held every weekend, specifically in the Romance Tourism sector, this without counting weddings that its guest fort was not the visitor from another city. During 2021, the number of events dropped to 20, during the holiday date.

This segment covers not only destination weddings, but also ring deliveries, honeymoons, bachelor or bachelorette parties, wedding and bride anniversaries, renewal of vows, last trip before the baby is born -Baby Moon, second nuptials, trip with the family (Family Moon) and a new niche that is growing exponentially with the current epidemiological and economic conditions, which are the “elopement weddings”.
