During these December holidays, PC asks to be more careful when driving, as well as to be attentive to avoid accidents at home that affect minors

MAZATLÁN.- With the aim of mitigating the risks of Covid contagion in the port, next week sanitary filters will be launched at the entrances of Mazatlan, which coincide with the official start of the winter holidays, reported Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, Municipal Civil Protection coordinator.

He expressed that it will be on Friday and Saturday when these operations will be reinforced, mainly in the southern access, since the bulk of the visitors enters the port on December dates.

“The schedules that were handled last year were from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., but we have to do with the National Guard, that aspect comes, possibly it would be the same schedule, but we will analyze why it can also be on a regular schedule ”, said Ruiz Gastélum.

The official recommended that all people who plan to go out on the road, check the vehicle well before doing so, respect the established signs and, above all, that they do not drink alcoholic beverages if they drive.

Finally, he alerted the population since during this Christmas season accidents increase up to 25 percent due to fireworks in which minors are most affected, that is why he asked parents to be attentive to their children.
