Five of the seven robberies that have occurred during 2021 occurred between the end of November and the beginning of December.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Despite the fact that for 10 months there was a low incidence of assaults on urban transport units, with only two registrations, in the last two months of 2021 these rebounded 200%.

And it is that at the end of November and beginning of December another five more were registered .

Faustino Mejía Chávez, president of the Bus Alliance, pointed out that in some cases the assailant is a repeat offender, also repeating the same robbery routes and places, as in the Infonavit Santa Teresa and in the Juárez neighborhood.

“If we go back, this was much worse, there were five or six but a day. We do not want them to continue happening, we have to take care of ourselves, the authority helps us, but sometimes it is insufficient to be aware of everything,” he said.

He mentioned that the call to the operators is not to resist the assault and release what has to be given since nothing is above the health and physical integrity of people.

He mentioned that of the 470 units that are active, all have surveillance cameras, those with air conditioning transmit the live image, so at the time of the events, the driver presses the panic button and more can be done.
