Raffle of lots in Playa Espíritu 'is a fraud'; Totorame community

Mazatlán, Sinaloa. – Members of the indigenous community of Totorame de San Pedro Chiametlan, spoke out against the raffle of the Playa Espíritu plots because they have an owner and cannot be sold.

They accused that these lands have property titles given to the indigenous community since 1715, in addition to that they are currently under liens to claim them as property of the community, this being the main reason why they cannot be sold.

They stressed that those 200 lots rolled are not part of the Federal Government and do not belong to Fonatur. Under the same premise, they resented that when the slogan of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was to support the indigenous people, now he is putting them aside to fulfill his own interests.

Finally, they summarized that they sent 13 elections distributed to the Congress of the Union, Congress of the Republic, governors of Sinaloa, Sonora, Nayarit, and Baja California, as well as to the mayors of Mazatlán, Escuinapa, and Rosario.
