Currently, they maintain a capacity of 75 percent, prioritizing spaces to avoid excess diners

MAZATLÁN.- Sinaloa has managed to remain at an epidemiological traffic light since September, according to the national map maintained by the Federal Government, and in light of this, the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Food Industry, Canirac, hopes that if the outlook continues, it can increase to 100 percent in the first two months of 2022.

The president of the Canirac in Mazatlán, Rodrigo Becerra Rodríguez, mentioned that the 65 percent that they maintained in September was increased to 75 percent, maintaining the protocols and respecting them to avoid sanctions.

“The authority will be very cautious and I believe that we will be in January or February, if we spend a quiet winter, without cases, maybe we could already think about being 100 percent,” he declared.

In the case of restaurants, Becerra Rodríguez expressed that they have remained outside of respect, asking the diner to add to this value and keep their mask, as well as the personnel who work in the sector.

“The call is that they continue to respect and use the mask, washing their hands and as far as restaurants are concerned, the call is to continue respecting one hundred percent, more than anything, the citizens,” he said.

During the first months of the economic reactivation in Mazatlán, a series of sanctions were given to restaurants precisely for not respecting the allowed capacity limits, mainly restaurants and palapas that were in the tourist strip.

In the last summer period, at least 14 administrative acts were drawn up by local authorities, mainly to turns such as bars and clubs, who were the most recurrent in this type of offense, precisely because they maintained agglomeration outside these establishments.
