The Governor-elect agreed with President AMLO to rescue through Sedatu the areas of Sinaloa that register urban and social backwardness
Mazatlán, Sinaloa. – By agreement with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Mazatlán will be the first city in Sinaloa to benefit from the Sedatu Urban Improvement Program (PMU), announced the Governor-elect Rubén Rocha Moya when participating in the start of the paving work of Delfín Street, in the company of Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel.
“I have already agreed with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador that the first city to have the Urban Improvement Program in Sinaloa will be Mazatlán, which mainly in tourist destinations like this one seeks to serve them back, that which is not the tourist strip, but who are the workers ”, he stressed.
Who from next November 1 will be the Governor of Sinaloa, detailed that through the PMU the popular neighborhoods will be served with an investment of between 400 and 500 million pesos in roads, the rescue of public spaces, green areas, and housing.
It should be noted that through the PMU, the Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development promotes attention to the needs of people who live in areas with urban and social backwardness through comprehensive neighborhood improvement interventions, legal certainty in property and land tenure, as well as urban and metropolitan planning, and land use, with the aim of reducing the physical and social gap in the application of urban public policies.
By using her voice, Rocha Moya expressed her appreciation for the important work that Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel has done in Mazatlán, the tourist pearl of Sinaloa, and pledged to continue with road improvements to give greater fluidity to the city and the port.
The Governor-elect endorsed that “we have that proclivity that our thought and our leader Andrés Manuel López Obrador give us: to support the poor, the people who have the least, if we can do it on the basis that we develop the state, we generate the conditions for the state to develop, there is tranquility; we are going to work for security, we have spoken specifically for the case of Mazatlán about our own strategy to give tourists confidence, we are going to try to improve the tourist police ”.
He stressed that for the development of the state it is very important to continue promoting investments, since they generate employment and wealth, and for this, his government will generate the conditions that guarantee the right and security to entrepreneurs.
