They estimate to immunize 15 thousand young people between 12 and 17 years of age in the entity, they apply the first doses in Culiacán
In Sinaloa, the vaccination process for young people between 12 and 17 years old with comorbidities has already begun, with the state capital being the first application site.
The IMSS delegate in Sinaloa, Tania Clarissa Medina López, mentioned that this is based on the strategic line dictated by the federal government, specifically for young people who suffer from lung diseases, chronic kidney, liver, or digestive system, neurological diseases, endocrinology, immunosuppression, asplenia, or arm dysfunction.
As well as genetic abnormalities and teenage pregnancies.
“We are relying on the censuses sent to us by health institutions, the Pediatric Hospital, the ISSSTE, Bienestar is calling, we have a census of young people with comorbidities that are calling approximately 16 thousand,” said the delegate.
So far, he indicated, they have vaccinated in three blocks of 40 young people each, that is, around 120 vaccinated, who go in the company of one of their parents, with their file and, as an adult, wait at least 30 minutes of repose.
The delegate pointed out that, if there is a young man, cared for by a private hospital, he needs to go to the vaccination center with his father or guardian, with a medical record and there he can be given said vaccine.
He urged parents not to trust themselves, because even if the complete scheme is available, all sanitary measures must be followed, among the main ones, the use of face masks, antibacterial gel and frequent hand washing.
And the rest of the municipalities?
Medina López added that in the coming weeks the dates for the application of the vaccines in the other municipalities will be announced, during the weekend, he will be vaccinated at the Hospital de Gineco Pediatría de Los Mochis.
“As in the rest of the municipalities, we are going to program them immediately in Guasave, Guamúchil and Mazatlán, we will be attentive to the rest of the institutions and be calling them,” he concluded.
