National Sport Fishing Championship Opening with a Sinaloan touch

Fishermen from eleven states star in the start of the third edition of the tournament hosted by Ocean Beach

Impregnated with a bustling atmosphere, dozens of fishermen – from at least eleven states – formally kicked off the third edition of the 2021 Mazatlán Beach Sport Fishing National Championship.

Secretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (SPyA) of the State Government, in coordination with the National Federation of Sport Fishing and Tourism Secretariat (Sectur) Sinaloa, led the protocol ceremony in which the ritual was fulfilled in the middle of a very Sinaloan party.

And, after the ceremony in which the National Anthem was sung, a band of regional music enlivened stickily the celebration participants, chosen in the time of the states- chatted a delicious dinner at the popular restaurant Camaron Sabalo Avenue.

The event included the head of SPyA, Carlos Noé Contreras; Juan Manuel Moreno Padilla, director of Sport Fishing of the same agency; Juan José Ruiz, Undersecretary of Planning of the Government of Sinaloa.

Also to Luis Miguel García Pérez, Rolando Sías and José Juan ‘Peinao’ Reyes Sustaita, president, director of Regulations and head of Social Communication of the National Federation, respectively.

And, as a good host, Miguel Ángel González, president of the Sport Fishing Association of the State of Sinaloa, from Culiacan.

The winners of this national stage will qualify for the First Pan American Sport Fishing Tournament Jalova ( Costa Rica), which will take place from October 15 to 18.

The competition began Saturday at 06:30 in the Oceanic beach, in the vicinity of Escopama beach, and will conclude at 13:00. Later, at 2:00 p.m., the awards ceremony will take place.
