Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The municipality of Mazatlán is on a yellow alert, after the passage of Hurricane Enrique, which is in the Pacific Ocean.

Faced with this situation, the local Emergency Attention Committee reviewed and activated two shelters so that they are ready in case they are required.

The coordinator of Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastelum, declared that only two temporary shelters were initially enabled, one of them is the Lions Club and the UAS Sports Center, in both, the health of the people who will be temporarily sheltered must be guaranteed.

Ruiz Gastelum also announced that hurricane ‘Enrique’ has a very slow movement, which leads to rain in the city at night, in addition to the expected rainfall of between 50 to 75 liters per square meter and that It can lead to possible flooding and flooding in the lower area of ​​the city and the winds will be at 65 kilometers per hour.
