Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The administrator of the Mazatlán International Airport, ‘Rafael Buelna Tenorio’, Víctor Vladimir Ramírez del Ángel, said that, in terms of flights, there are very good expectations for this next summer vacation period.

“For the summer season an increase is expected in the arrival of visitors, especially from cities such as Monterrey, Tijuana, and Mexico City, which are the main providers of tourism to this beach destination,” he said.

Ramírez del Ángel said that even this summer will be even better than 2019, taking into account that the year before last was also from excellent to very good.

The airport manager made a brief mention of how bad they had it during the most critical months of the pandemic, however, fortunately, everything is returning to normal.

The federal official recognized that despite the restrictions by the health authorities due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the aircraft work with 90 percent of their capacity, taking care of the preventive guidelines.

“We hope that the Aeromar airline will start operating normally as of June, which has its Guadalajara-Mazatlán-La Paz route,” he said.

He pointed out that the visitors arriving in Mazatlán are nationals, but the return of tourism from Los Angeles, Dallas, and Phoenix is ​​expected soon.
