According to an Expedia study, Puerto Vallarta is among the preferred destinations for Canadians to travel for the next year 2021, due to connectivity, flight distances of no more than four hours, mild climate, and numerous natural attractions.

The study reports that although most Canadians will continue to be sheltered at home, they maintain the desire and desire to travel for the year 2021. In the list of international destinations, they yearn to visit in addition to Puerto Vallarta, the destination that is in first place Other places such as Hawaii, the Dominican Republic, the Maldives, or Polynesia also stand out.

The report points out that after an atypical year such as this 2020 was, it is not difficult to imagine why so many travelers want to escape to a beach or island destination at the first opportunity.

According to statistics, Canadians are frequent visitors to Puerto Vallarta, since travelers from the country “of the Maple leaf” particularly value tranquility, security, compliance with health protocols throughout the tourism sector, as well as the outdoor action offering in a setting of mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and sea offered by the port.

It should be noted that air connectivity between Canadian cities and Puerto Vallarta has improved for several weeks, and will strengthen in the winter season. There are currently weekly flights from Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver via Air Canada, Swoop, Air Transat, and Westjet airlines.

Westjet announced that from December 05 to 15 they will have five weekly flights on the Calgary-Puerto Vallarta route, and from December 16 to January 4, 2021, they will offer a daily flight.

From December 05 to December 15, Westjet will operate a weekly flight on the Vancouver-Puerto Vallarta route, and from December 16 to January 4 there will be 2 weekly flights.

Meanwhile, on the Edmonton-Puerto Vallarta route from December 16 to January 4 they will have a weekly flight, as well as on the Winnipeg-Puerto Vallarta route.

For its part, Air Canada reported that as of December 18 it will offer two weekly flights from Calgary.

The service between the two countries will be complemented by “The Jetz Experience”, which will operate flights from Vancouver to Vallarta from December 21 to 28. The airline reported that the flights will be made in jets that were regularly rented for magnates, artists, and even hockey teams, but in the context of the pandemic, they created this more intimate experience with healthy distance, to take advantage of luxury aircraft, for which they decided to offer “luxury charters”.
