Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The municipal president of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, announced that the president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, promised to finish the Urías II sewage treatment plant, in order to eliminate the plant treatment plant El Crestón, and end with a problem of bad smells of yesteryear.

“The fact that he promised to finish the treatment plant that will help us solve the problems at the Crestón plant is fabulous,” he acknowledged.

“He has already given instructions (López Obrador), they have already heard him; I am going to talk with the director of Conagua (Blanca Jiménez) and we will take it forward,” he added.

Regarding the fate of the Crestón plant, he mentioned that it was proposed that a place for tourist ships would be built there, but the most important thing is that it will no longer smell bad and that area can be developed.
