The State Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the woman found lifeless last Monday, November 2, in a stormwater canal was officially identified as the young influencer from Sonora Adriana Murrieta Treviño.

“It was in the afternoon (Tuesday) that a relative went to the Public Ministry attached to the Forensic Medical Service to identify the body in an official way,” the agency detailed in a statement.

The Prosecutor’s Office reported that as part of the investigations, which are carried out under the femicide protocol, the images captured by security cameras are analyzed, although it did not indicate where they were located.

“So far the agency is in the analysis of videos that were obtained as part of the investigation that was opened around the case.”

The young woman from Sonora was reported missing since November 1. She arrived at the Guadalajara International Airport around 9:24 p.m. that day. At that time, her relatives lost communication, her two cell phones were turned off.

The following day, the body was found on Solidaridad Street at the San Gabriel intersection, in the town of Santa Cruz del Valle, near the airport, in Tlajomulco. She was in a sewage canal and due to the conditions she was in, they could not identify the possible cause of death.

Through her Facebook account, her sister Freya Murrieta confirmed Adriana’s death on Tuesday.

“More than anyone else we would have liked to share a different or less painful ending for our loved ones. Beyond the morbidity that it may cause and want to know about the situation. We ask for a little respect and caution for us.”
