Harbor Master opens navigation to all types of vessels

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Captaincy of Puerto Mazatlán reported that after 12:00 hours yesterday , maritime navigation was opened to all types of vessels, which for more than 24 hours remained closed.

Fishing navigations, recreational tourism services, sport fishing, parachute flights, jet skis and kayaks were able to restore their work .

The authority explained that the weather conditions were favorable for the activities that were suspended since last Friday.

The winds were registered towards the south with gusts of winds of 4 to 7 kilometers per hour. The temperature that was recorded in the city was 29 degrees Celsius.

Last Friday, the Harbor Master decided to close the navigation at 06:30 in order to prevent accidents.

The passage of tropical storm Hernán caused the maritime authorities to mobilize because the conditions of the waves and the wind were unfavorable for maritime transport.

Captaincy stressed that they had everything in order and there were no effects due to the passage of the meteorological phenomenon.

Exercise

After reopening to navigation, activities returned to normal.

The catamarans managers lost a day of employment because they could not go out to walk the locals and visitors.

Despite the presence of rains on Friday in Mazatlán, many families went to the catamarans but had to be denied access because the Harbor Master decided to close the navigation to prevent accidents.

The managers of the catamarans complied with the order and no type of boat left.

The fishermen of Playa Norte also stopped working, since they sell fresh seafood. In addition, in every bad rainy season, the species move away from the coast to protect themselves.
