However, 8 thousand signatures have been collected to stop the construction of the penguin area at the Mazatlan Aquarium.

Thousands of people are against this project proposed by the current administration, and they are collecting signatures through the Change.org online platform, protesting against this project.

The project to build a penguin colony in Mazatlán, announced by the municipal government, aroused the disagreement of thousands of people who set up a Change.org account to vote against it.

As of Sunday, August 7th, the petition already had more than 8,000 signatures.
