Companies should focus on small projects: Canacintra. Port businesses must comply with protocols in order to return to fully operate in a normal way.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa (May 22, 2020). “Companies must work hand in hand with the municipal and state governments, to reach agreements that help to recover the economy, this in light of the scant response of support that the federation has issued”; Helena Larsen Ayala said.
The president of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry in Mazatlán considered that at least for the time being, the businessmen will have to forget about making big profits, and should focus on surviving as the number of Covid-19 infections drop, and the investments return to the state.
“Right now we have to focus on small projects that help us to survive for a period of time, so as not to get frustrated thinking about big projects that we had before, and little by little the recovery will come, as many economists say, from 2 to 4 years, depending on each city”, Larsen Ayala said.
She stated that at least in Mazatlán, citizens have to recognize the economic downturn that the port will have for a time because 50% of their income depends on tourism, a consequence that the pandemic is leaving, and that makes people think twice about traveling.
Larsen Ayala, said that Canacintra is the chamber that unites companies that can provide the services and products that are necessary, for the implementation of the protocols that are going to be required for companies to operate in the near future.
She pointed out that there are those who produce the masks, those who sell masks, coveralls, and all the chemicals required for sanitation, and all this will continue to be used in the return to the “new normal life”.
