Federal forces inspect tourist areas and shopping centers to confirm citizens are following health protocols.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa (April 18, 2020).- Preventive actions to avoid the spread of coronavirus in Mazatlán do not stop. On the one hand, municipal authorities hold workshops to disinfect public places, and on the other, forces from the three levels of government visit beaches, spas and shopping centers to remind people that they are on health alert and that it is best to stay at home.
On Saturday April 18th, a convoy made up of agents from the National Guard, Navy, Army with its DN-III Plan and preventive staff toured the area to verify that the beaches remain closed to bathers. The tour started in Olas Altas and ended at Cerritos beach.
Another group focused on visiting stores and shopping centers to make sure that health measures established by the authorities are being followed.
During the deployment, it was observed that most of the people who visited the establishments wore face masks, however, there are still citizens who do not comply with this recommendation, and put their lives and the lives of others at risk.
