Mexico.-Today the icy atmosphere will be maintained with morning frosts in the north and central Mexico, so snowfall and/or sleet are expected in mountain tops of Sonora, Chihuahua, and Durango, which will be extended to Coahuila during the night.
Minimum temperatures of -10 to -5 degrees Celsius are estimated in the mountains of Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, and Durango; from -5 to 0 degrees Celsius and frost in the mountains of Coahuila, Nuevo León, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala and the State of Mexico, and 0 to 5 degrees Celsius with frosts in the mountain ranges of Tamaulipas, Michoacán, Querétaro, Mexico City, Veracruz and Oaxaca.
Wind gusts of 90 kilometers per hour (km / h) and hoppers for regions of Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas and Coahuila; gusts of 80 km / h with hoppers in areas of Nuevo León and Tamaulipas; gusts of 60 km / h and possible hoppers in areas of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí and Campeche, as well as waves of 2 to 3 meters on the western coast of the Baja California Peninsula and the Yucatan and Quintana Roo coastlines.
The conditions described will be generated by the Cold Front Number 30 and the Sixth Winter Storm of the season, which will move through the north and northeast of Mexico.
Heavy point rains are expected in Quintana Roo, intervals of showers in Sonora, Chihuahua, Tamaulipas, Chiapas, Campeche and Yucatan, and isolated rains in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Veracruz. In the rest of the Mexican territory, a high atmospheric pressure system, located in medium levels of the atmosphere, will maintain stable weather conditions, clear skies and low rainfall potential.
