For travelers in Latin America, especially for Mexicans, it is increasingly important to choose the destinations that allow them to take their pets because when they are considered part of the family, they are also considered when vacationing.

According to a Booking study, in Mexico, 46 percent of people who plan to travel in 2020, will be inclined to do so in destinations and accommodation that are enabled to receive four-legged guests.

The Mexican Pet-Friendly trend is supported by Argentines, Colombians, and Brazilians, important issuing markets in the region, which on the one hand pose a challenge for service providers, but at the same time arouse a business opportunity.

It is increasingly common for airlines, land carriers, restaurants and hotels to accept pets in their facilities, facilitating their transfer or stay.

Some more visionaries have integrated exclusive amenities and services for dogs, mainly. A scenario that will be increasingly common, and given the boom it has, perhaps in the short term it is almost taken for granted that attention should be given to the tourist’s pets.

The Booking report details what are the demands of the Mexican and Latin American traveler who takes his pet with him. Almost half of the tourists demand enough space for them to run and play.

In the same range is the availability of veterinary assistance. To a lesser extent, it is requested that there be a friendly and friendly atmosphere, childcare and walks, and even exclusive activities for pets.

These data were presented in the Travel Predictions 2020 travel trends report carried out by Booking, among 22 thousand travelers from 30 international markets, where the Latin American region was the one that registered the most interest in the Pet-Friendly topic.
