The secretary of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic, Commissioner Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola, made a roll call and launched the security operation “Safe Tourist”, within the framework of the return of tourist cruises to this city and port, scheduled for this Wednesday.
Next to the Monument to the Fisherman, elements of Municipal Transit, the Aquatic Rescue Squad, the Capta Leopardo group and the Cycling Police met early to receive instructions on the actions that they will be reinforcing and that contemplates respect for health protocols.
“We have to be aware of the arrival of the first ship that visits us tomorrow. Transit police is the one that carries the first function, that’s where the Capta Leopardos come from, their function is to watch the entire boardwalk up to La Marina Avenue. That is why I ask you to please put the batteries so that the operation goes well tomorrow, that there is no type of report regarding the tourists on the ship, “he said.
Commissioner Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola stressed that, without neglecting the rest of the city and rural area, 75 agents are assigned from today to the areas where shipping tourists travel.
“With this act, we started the Safe Tourist operation. Welcome back to Mazatlan cruises. Everything is monitored, from the blue line, the entire Machado area, market, Golden Zone, Rural Zone, as well as the ground-foot operation that we bring from the active elements with the cadets. Everything will be reinforced, it will be constantly patrolled that is the indication that I have from our mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez, so that Mazatlán continues to shine ”, explained the head of the SSPyTM.
In the case of the municipal market, one of the points most visited by travelers is going to reinforce cleaning with the support of the Urban Cleanliness department.
To receive the tourists who will arrive tomorrow on the Carnival Panorama cruise and provide a good appearance of the city, a special cleaning operation will be mounted for the first square of the city, as it was announced the director of the Municipal Public Services Miguel Luis Morales Lizárraga.
“Tomorrow we are going to launch an additional operation to the one that is already in place right now. Right now the work that has been done there is lighting, also beautifying, both the garbage and the human sweep, “he reported.
Morales Lizárraga, said that in the case of the José María Pino Suárez municipal market, one of the points most visited by cruise passengers, cleaning will be reinforced with the support of the Urban Cleaning department.
“The tourist strip is in very good condition, as most of the city I dare say, we are in good condition,” he said.
He added that all addresses are focused on receiving travelers because this benefits Mazatlán, which is the most important thing.
The municipal official asked the citizens to support them minimally on the day that they are going to receive the visits to go hand in hand on the issue of cleaning.
