Mazatlan.- No setback registered the Ministry of Public Safety and Municipal Transit, during the first day of activities of the Mazatlan Pacific Grand Marathon 2019, which was held this Saturday morning.
The Operational Sub Inspector of the Municipal Police, Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola, said he had knowledge of only one athlete who required attention due to the heat, and stressed that no incident occurred among the attendees.
“We are participating as a whole unit of 229 elements, apart from the outgoing ones that are quartered in what we leave the operation, in addition to the elements of Transit, Transit Traffic, Aquatic Group, and motorcyclists. It is the order of our mayor, chemist Luis Guillermo Benítez, that everything goes well. We have the city crowded, ”he said.
This Saturday morning the first phase of the marathon was carried out with the minor tests and botargas races, while on Sunday the maximum tests of 42 and 21 kilometers will be carried out, and for which again the police corporation will implement the operation of security.
On Saturday night, surveillance focused on the Olas Altas area, home of the “Marathon Lights” show at eight o’clock at night.
