Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- The hotels in the golden zone are reported almost full for the long weekend for the commemoration of the Independence of Mexico.
The marketing director of the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies of Mazatlan (Ahyet), José Gámez Valle, stressed that the reservations of most hotels are 100 percent from Friday 13 to Monday, September 16 of this year.
Mazatlan has become one of the most popular beach destinations for domestic and foreign visitors, he said.
Hotel entrepreneur Carlos Berdegué stressed that tourists make their reservations with time. Since before the summer holidays there were already tourists from various parts of the republic who reserved their rooms to celebrate the national holidays in this port.
The leader of the Association of Hotels and Motels, José Ramón Manguart, predicts a good weekend, as reservations flow. These exceed 80 percent and in the remainder of this week, they consider it to be at 100%.
While the secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa, Óscar Pérez Barros, stressed that after the good summer season that was achieved in the entity, it is expected that the days of the national holidays this destination will be full again and throughout the state, the occupancy exceeds 95 percent.
These rest days are favorable for all sectors, he said, first of all to hotels, restaurants, shops and other activities.
In addition, this influx of tourism in the entity allows to keep employment and even generate more job opportunities.
The tourists and the authority of Sectur predict that there will be an important economic benefit for Sinaloa. For Mazatlan, every weekend is good, but when there is a holiday, it fills up.
