Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- Although the culture of beach cleaning is not fought with any group, of the tourists visiting the city, in Mazatlan the ‘charters’ are the ones who leave the most garbage in their path in the sand of the coast, Rogelio Olivas Osuna expressed.
The director of the Operator and Administrator of Beaches commented that the port had a favorable influx, with occupations to more than 90 percent, however, it was noted that visitors generated an increase in garbage collection and although many people have adopted the culture of cleanliness, much remains to be done.
He pointed out that it is gratifying that the culture of cleaning grows among the children, that they set the example and that they are the ones who raise awareness among the parents so that when they leave the beaches they do so together with the waste they generated during their visit.
He added that the problem is not exclusive to a sector of visitors, however, during this holiday period, tourists from buses or rental vans are those we noticed that they left the largest amount of garbage.
