Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- At the end of the summer holiday season, the economic spill will be approximately 4.5 billion pesos, said Tourism Secretary Óscar Pérez Barros.

The official explained that Mazatlan registered an occupation of 98.5 percent last weekend and similar figures are maintained for the last two of this holiday period.

Good season

Pérez Barros agrees with Guillermo Romero Rodríguez, president of the Hotels and Motels Commission of Concanaco Servytur, which has been a better season than last year and that the economic benefit will be greater than 10 percent than last year in this same period.

Reservations are still high until August 18, although the influx will remain until 25, as the 2019-2020 school year begins on the 26th of this month.

The preliminary results so far are good. In July they closed with an average occupancy rate of 85 percent in Sinaloa and the trend for August will be higher.
