Mazatlan port captain orders inspection of all vessels for the security of summer tourist

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- With the approach of the holiday season, the port captaincy reinforced the operation of reviewing the vessels of tourism service providers both on the Isla de la Piedra and in the Zona Dorada in Mazatlán, José Enrique Mora Reyes reported.

The regional port captain explained that in the verification of the documentation of the owners of boats they have detected zero problems in the fulfillment of the requirements of maritime safety such as fire extinguishers, life jackets, and flares, among other things.

“Well, we are now in the process verifying the documentation, we are verifying the documentation of the vessel and that of the crew, we include what is maritime security devices.”

He explained that another of the points to review is the verification that the capacity of the vessels is respected to avoid an incident that puts the lives of users at risk.

He pointed out that the current navigation conditions are optimal for all boat owners of nautical tourism, fishing and water sports.
