Topolobampo, Ahome.- Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel inaugurated in the port of Topolobampo the Big Fish Fishing Tournament, which in its twenty-eighth edition will distribute a bag of 3.6 million pesos in prizes, which will be held for three days 204 fishermen grouped in 43 teams, from different states of the Republic and the United States.

The state leader was received at the dock of Topolobampo by Luis Javier Salido Artola, on behalf of the Organizing Committee of this tournament, which during these 27 years has been carried out by the publishing company El Debate.

In his message, Ordaz Coppel congratulated himself on the return of the Big Fish Tournament to the port of Topolobampo, because it brings economic benefits and the population makes it his own.

In addition, an international event of this magnitude places Sinaloa in a showcase of projection towards the rest of the country, by providing diffusion and tourism promotion, making more and more participants come.

The governor of the state also acknowledged the Salido family, especially Mr. Ildefonso Salido Ibarra, for the promotion of the sport that El Debate has done, such as this fishing tournament, the most important in northwest Mexico.
