Mazatlan: Profeco will install modules to prevent abuse

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- During the Holy Week holiday period,  Profeco will install three attention modules to prevent tourists visiting the port from being abused. This was advanced Sergio Palomino, head of the Federal Consumer Attorney (Profeco), in Mazatlan. The modules will be installed in some of the areas with the most influx of tourists, such as the Golden Zone, the boardwalk and the airport, with the aim of receiving support so that they feel the abuse of a merchant. 

The plan of action of the Profeco for Holy Week is not finished yet; Although he said that they are planning to travel through these and other areas, in addition to his work team continues to devise other strategies to improve the tourist experience during Easter week crowded the port. 

The activity of the staff of the Profeco will be intensified between the days of Thursday and Sunday of Holy Week. 
As there was a change in administration, the head of the attorney general’s office in Mazatlan mentioned not having at hand figures on the complaints that were made last year; but, personally, he expressed good expectations for this holiday period.

He also shared that he already had a meeting with hoteliers and restaurateurs to propose solutions and conciliation points for any type of anomalies that could arise. In case there was a problem, the Profeco would intervene as a conciliator between both parties to reach an agreement between both parties.
