Mazatlan: The dredging of the port is a priority

The president of Mexico takes up the issue of supporting the port, but it will not be much recourse; in meeting with professionals says that the port is located in fourth place in the movement of vehicles.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The dredging of the port itself is a priority work, and the one that the president of Mexico, Andrés López Obrador, refers to is good, according to Sinaloa’s Secretary of Economy, Javier Lizárraga Mercado. But he believes that they may be less than the 1.3 billion that had been raised.

Meeting

He added that he will seek to sit down with the new director of the Integral Port Administration (API), Jorge González, to review the issue, and he hopes that progress can be made in this work that has pushed the port community.

The official met with directors of professional associations, to whom he showed the achievements that Sinaloa has achieved in bringing investment and development. He stressed that the mobility of vehicles they are having places them as the fourth port with the most car movement.

Travel

On his working tour of Mazatlan, the secretary toured the Miguel Hidalgo market in the Benito Juárez neighborhood. He stressed that in the two years of the government of Quirino Ordaz Coppel , thanks to the Mi Mercado program, 19 buildings have been rehabilitated with an amount of 150 million pesos.

With this item, 11 markets have already completed their works and eight are in the process of being remodeled. The Miguel Hidalgo market has 170 commercial establishments, of which around 150 are authorized and is an important pole of commercial and economic development of a large sector of the city of Mazatlan.
