Sinaloa coastal municipalities train for the certification of their beaches

State Government in coordination with the Municipality through the Beach Operator conducted the workshop in which 9 municipalities participated.

The Secretariat of Tourism in Sinaloa and the Secretariat of Sustainable Development in coordination with the Operadora de Playas, developed a workshop based on the NMX-120-SCDI-2016 standard, where coastal municipalities participated, in order to train them in relation to the theme of beach certification.

Following up on the instruction of the Governor, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, to reach the highest number of certified beaches in the State. The Municipalities that participated in the training were: Guasave, Angostura, Navolato, Culiacán, Elota, San Ignacio, Mazatlan, El Rosario, and Escuinapa.

According to the statistics of the Delegation of the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources in (Semarnat), in Sinaloa there are 4 certified beaches, information revealed during 2018.
