Members of the new migrant caravan that remained on the border with Guatemala crossed violently into Mexico.
The migrants broke the padlock of the gate that divides both countries and entered Mexico through the international bridge Rodolfo Robles in search of fulfilling its objective: To arrive in the United States.
After entering Mexico, the Central Americans move towards Tapachula , where they are expected to stop to rest.
The national coordinator of Civil Protection, David León, said that they still do not have the exact number of migrants who illegally entered Mexico.
“I imagine that there will probably have been 800 migrants , “ the coordinator estimated in an interview with Ciro Gómez Leyva for Grupo Fórmula.
He added that these migrants on their way to Tapachula “are accompanied by the Federal Police”, since they do not have a “device” to contain them and the new policy is “to attend, guarantee security, guarantee human rights and guarantee well-being”.
