Mazatlan: Clandestine drinking water connection found at UAS Polideportivo

Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres disapproves of an institution that trains citizens to act in this way.

Mazatlan.- The mayor of Mazatlan, accompanied by Jumapam officials, denounced the discovery of a clandestine outlet that supplied the UAS Sports Center, which supposedly operated since 2009.

The mayor described the theft of drinking water proved to the UAS as an act that offends citizens who have demanded a fight against acts of corruption.

According to estimates made by the Jumapam, the institution must pay more than 1.5 million pesos for unaccounted-for consumption of six years and fines.

The mayor said that the UAS legal staff tried to convince people not to make the fact known to the public with the guarantee of paying. 
However, the administrative staff said they would not pay immediately because they were going on vacation.

We regret this type of illegal activity because it hurts us as citizens and university students,

Finding a clandestine outlet at a public university offends. It is not possible that where citizens are formed the school acts in this way. It is irresponsibility that must be punished.
