In research done by THE DEBATE it was proved that the mayor of El Fuerte, Nubia Ramos, is the one who earns more: receives 72 thousand 583 pesos, a similar amount to that perceived by the governor Quirino Ordaz, who earns 75 thousand pesos.
Los Mochis, Sinaloa. – As excessive and contradictory business leaders qualified the high salaries perceived by the mayors of the north , especially the municipal president of El Fuerte, Nubia Ramos Carbajal, who receives 72 thousand 583 pesos a month.
Amount similar to that received by the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, for a fortnight, and in obedience to an austerity plan decided to reduce his salary to 53 thousand 846 pesos biweekly and invited officials to do the same.
Excessive salaries
According to the response of the information request with folio 01446118, the mayor of Ahome, Manuel Guillermo Chapman Moreno, receives 63,289 pesos per month, while the mayor of Choix, Omar Gill Santini, earns 65 thousand 840.
In that sense, the presidents of the different business chambers were surprised by what the municipalities allocate to pay their mayors, especially in El Fuerte and Choix, one of the poorest municipalities in the state and with the greatest need and lag in regarding public services.
Awareness
In that sense, Alejandra Alfaro Arteaga, president of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of the city of Los Mochis, considered that this is where it enters the political and social commitment of each government to decide whether to maintain, increase or reduce their salary and of its officials.
“What I see is that some mayors are continuing with what they already had as their salary, but I think they can stand in solidarity with the issue of austerity, but it would be an individual decision to do so. If the salary is high or low, we can not establish because they already came, but, I repeat, it would be their decision if they decide to lower it, “he said.
