Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- During Saturday and Sunday will be held the seventh Championship of Charros “El Alazan” and the 13th Cavalcade Guadalupana in El Rosario, within the framework of the celebrations of the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

The president of the Union of Charros of Sinaloa, Edesio Camacho, explained that these 100% family events will take place in the community of Hacienda del Tamarindo and in the municipal capital.

Announced that in the Championship to be held on Saturday,

teams from six states of the Republic will participate, in honor of Gonzalo Vizcarra and Dr. Manuel Salvador Echeagaray; Sunday will be the Guadalupana Cavalcade.

He stressed that the proclamation obtained on June 6, 2018, ‘The Charreria as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’, makes the authorities turn to keep this growing.

For his part, the director of municipal tourism of Rosario, Humberto Aguirre, said he will have support from the City Council, and said he is happy that this type of events are carried out, especially because of the importance of charrería in the municipality, a sport that has permeated generations of families.

“In tourism, it is also important, because we will be visited by countless people from six states and the entire southern Sinaloa area,” he said.

During her participation the undersecretary of Promotion and Tourist Operation, Sylvia Ruiz Coppel, invited the citizens to witness 15 and 16 of this month, both in the Hacienda del Tamarindo, where the Charrería Tournament will be held on both days, as well as in El Rosario, Magical Town, where the Guadalupana Cavalcade will be on Sunday.

ACTIVITIES

The activities will begin on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. with a Mass, so that from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the first two charreadas are performed, the third is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. hours and culminate with the free tournament of coleadero.

Sunday begins at 7:00 a.m. with a Mass in the church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, one block from the Municipal Presidency and, later, at 9:00 p.m., the Cavalcade will begin. It is scheduled to arrive at the Hacienda del Tamarindo at two in the afternoon. In the interim, there will be three charreadas in that place.

At night, after the scheduled cultural show, there will be the singer Jorge Cordero, with the presentation of dancing horses and conclude with a dance that will liven up the Cadetes de Linares.
