Mazatlan Art-Walk, will have more than 50 invited artists


The first activity where you can tour the galleries is scheduled for November 9

At a press conference Dora Ramírez, Eutiquio Valdez, Abril Márquez and Manrry Fuentevilla gave the details of the 13th edition of the  Artwalk, which begins with its tours on November 9 of this year. 

On this occasion, more than 50 artists from different disciplines; among them jewelry, painting, sculpture, engraving and photography, they come together to show their creations in their galleries.

The organizers expressed that more and more artists are joining this event that takes place in 25 galleries located in the Historic Center. Some of the participating artists are Ismael de la Rosa, Armando Gonzalez, Rafael Serrano, Erick Osuna, Lucila Santiago, Claudia Gallardo, Agustin Castillo, Dory Perdomo, Sergio Flores, Eliseo Castro, Dale Joblin, Alwin Van der Heiden, Susana Carnes, Peggy Blacket, Chamaleon, Jon Juan, Tex Wiebe, Armando Nava, Ivan Rojas, Jesus Garcia, Arturo Ramirez, Linda Hannawalt and Glen Rogers.


The visit to the galleries is completely free, the public will be able to appreciate the works of the artists, talk with them and they will be able to buy works if they wish. The tours will take place on November 9, 2018, the next is December 7, to continue on January 4, 2019, February 1, March 8 and ends on April 5.

This cultural activity is supported by the Cultural Institute of Mazatlan and the Historical Center Project with the aim of bringing visitors and Mazatlecos to art and creators. Each year more than 250 people appear on the tour, who visit the galleries and consume works.

The project known as “Tour of the art” was initiated by the artist Glen Rogers, but four years ago he left the organization to the Centro Histórico project. On this occasion, the organizers report that more foreigners visit the galleries, so they invite the locals to come and be part of Artwalk.
