The destination of the mammal was the facilities of the Mazatlan Aquarium where the necessary studies were carried out to determine the severity of its injuries, while the other two small ones were able to swim back into the sea.

The stranded animals were thrown to the beach by the high tide that remains on the beaches of Mazatlan after the passage of hurricane “Willa”, which affected the southern coasts of Sinaloa, mainly in the area of Escuinapa.
