Mazatlan, Sin.- The stranding of three dolphins near the rocks in front of the old hotel El Faro, located in northern Mazatlan, alerted locals who helped the mammals to return to the sea.
Members of the Aquatic Squadron managed to return the animals to their natural habitat, unfortunately one of them returned on three occasions to the beach, when being examined several lesions were appreciated for which it was necessary to request the support of personnel from Onca Exploraciones and Profepa.
The destination of the mammal was the facilities of the Mazatlan Aquarium where the necessary studies were carried out to determine the severity of its injuries, while the other two small ones were able to swim back into the sea.
The stranded animals were thrown to the beach by the high tide that remains on the beaches of Mazatlan after the passage of hurricane “Willa”, which affected the southern coasts of Sinaloa, mainly in the area of Escuinapa.
