With 5,163 people on board, including passengers and crew, the Navigator of the Seas cruise ship arrived in Mazatlán on Monday, July 20, 2026, contributing to the continued recovery of the port’s commercial and tourism activity.
This is the fourth large cruise ship to arrive at the southern Sinaloa destination during the seventh month of the year, bringing the total number of cruise visitors for the month to 16,606. Their visits have generated an estimated economic impact of more than 25 million pesos.
Cruise Industry Maintains Steady Growth
Sinaloa Secretary of Tourism Mireya Sosa Osuna stated that the cruise industry continues to show sustained growth and represents a fundamental pillar of the state’s economy.
As of July 20, Mazatlán has welcomed 80 cruise ships so far this year, receiving more than 295,000 visitors and generating an economic impact exceeding 472 million pesos.
“The confidence demonstrated by cruise lines continuing to arrive in Mazatlán is extraordinary. During 2026, we expect between 140 and 150 cruise ships to visit Mazatlán. For next year, projections indicate between 170 and 180 vessels, which means arrivals continue to increase and Mazatlán remains one of the favorite destinations for both cruise passengers and cruise lines.”
Tourism Ministry Reaffirms Its Commitment
The Secretary of Tourism reaffirmed the state’s commitment to continuing its efforts in international promotion, improving connectivity, and enhancing tourism infrastructure to ensure that visitors continue to enjoy an excellent travel experience and that Mazatlán remains a preferred destination for the world’s leading cruise lines.
