The port of Mazatlán welcomed the cruise ship “Navigator of the Seas” this Wednesday, arriving from Los Cabos, Baja California, carrying more than 3,700 tourists and 1,246 crew members. This marks the beginning of May’s cruise season.

Visitors enjoyed the Mazatlán experience, including the port, beaches, cuisine, and, of course, the warmth of its people. The “Navigator of the Seas” is the first of six cruise ships scheduled to arrive at the port during May. More than 22,000 cruise passengers are expected, which translates into an economic impact of 35 million pesos for the destination.
The Secretary of Tourism for Sinaloa, Mireya Sosa Osuna, emphasized that the arrival of these cruise ships and the visitor numbers reflect the confidence that international cruise lines have in Mazatlán, making it one of their main destinations on their itineraries.
So far this year, Mazatlán has welcomed 64 cruise ships and over 229,000 international visitors. Furthermore, the city has generated over 367 million pesos in economic activity. This solidifies the port’s position as a reliable tourist destination on Mexico’s Pacific coast.
