Three days after a gas station owner was kidnapped in Culiacán, a similar incident occurred this Friday in Mazatlán, when the owner of a fruit store chain was also abducted.
According to reports, the victim is Rafael “T,” who was at a yard located north of the city, near El Venadillo.
The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. this Friday, when a group of armed civilians arrived at the property, located the businessman, and kidnapped him.
It was also reported that the perpetrators tied up some of the employees and stole two vehicles that were at the location.
Hours later, police located a white Kia near the bus station.
The other vehicle is a black Ford Focus belonging to one of the employees, but this vehicle has not yet been found.
THE OTHER CASE
Just on Tuesday, March 24, an 81-year-old gas station owner, identified as Arnulfo, was kidnapped near La Lomita, in Culiacán.
The victim was driving a BMW when he was approached by armed men. A day later, the State Attorney General’s Office confirmed that the businessman had been found alive.
